Tabs and Overview

Here is a lesson that has been covered by the basic training video "First 2x Weeks". But it does not hurt to watch it a few times. Especially for those very new to the game.

When in space access right click on the little 3x tabs on the upper left of your overview. Then scrolling to "add tab" and click.

  1. A "add tab" window shall appear and these are the 5x tabs suggested to create.
    • Minerals
    • Pirates/Rats/Serpents
    • Planets
    • Stations
    • Ships
  2. But only choose one of the above listed titles at a time to enter title in box.
  3. Press "OK"
  4. In your overview window you will see your new tab appear.
  5. Now make sure you have that tab active by left clicking on it.
  6. Next you will see in the overview a box with three very small lines in upper left again, with the words "Over View Settings".
  7. A big box will appear and you want "Tab Presets".
  8. This box will appear with a long list of tables to click on. It should indicate the following if you followed the steps correctly.
    • Asteroid
    • Celestrial
    • Charge
    • Deployable
    • Drone
    • Entity
    • NPC
    • Orbitals
    • Planetary Interaction
    • Ship
    • Sovereignty Structures
    • Station
    • Structure
  9. As you click on these individual titles a drop down window will appear with allot of check marks (or not) next to items. As long as the box to the left of these indicated items is checked that is what you're going to see in your BIG overview on screen as you play. Also as you check or uncheck items they will appear or disappear in the overview window below your established tabs granted if they are in your system or area your close to.
  10. I would suggest going down to the bottom of the box and hit "Deselect All".
  11. Now depending on the active tab you are on you can put a check in the box next to each option of the pull down window. As to what you want to see when the tab is selected during game play.
  12. When done with your desired options move up to "Preset in selected overview tab".Then hit the "Save" button. There you are you can customize your tabs anyway you want. For the sake of argument the ones I listed above is what I use.
