War Deck Precautions

Our corp. has had in place, techniques for defensive mining and travel that have proven to be very effective, as long as everyone follows this technique. I will explain this technique in the following steps.

First, Let's Discuss RAIDCALL

RAIDCALL/Team Speak is one of the best defenses we have against these war deck corps. Because we have the ability to quickly call out warnings or orders to "DOCK UP" then we can make it highly unprofitable for them. By the time someone types it in corp chat and you see it then you'll probably be dead. Only makes sense. I know some of you might be tired of hearing about RaidCall, that's all that I am going to say on it, other than it really works.

When Mining:

  1. Open your Local Chat as much as possible so that you can see as many people in local space as possible. If you can, mine in systems with few people so that you can see everyone in that system at just a glance. Watch for anyone that comes into local chat as red or yellow on the name list. They may be enemy or gankers. On local tab you will see an icon that looks like 3x people. Hit it and condense display. Now you will only see names and you have room to see more people in system. Red and yellow people will appear with bars across name and or red box next to name.

  2. Once you arrive at the intended ore site and set your lasers, locate the nearest station to your location. This will be your escape route. If there are no stations, then choose the nearest high-sec stargate. Have the link to the escape route open and easily clickable on your screen at all times.

  3. Right click on your escape route and click "align to" and count 3 seconds and then right click on your ship and click on "stop my ship". This will ensure that your ship is pre-aligned to the intended escape route. It knocks off a lot of the time needed to warp out to safety.

  4. ALWAYS MONITOR LOCAL CHATwhen you are mining. AFK mining during a war deck is not only unsafe, it's also against our policy and we will not in any way compensate a pilot mining loss.

  5. If someone on raidcall/team speak calls out "DOCK UP!!!" during a mining op, that means they have spotted the enemy and you are to WARP OUT immediately to your escape route. One bit of hesitation can mean the difference of escaping or being podded.

These techniques are a tried and true method of mining during a war deck. Will you lose a ship during a war deck? Probably, but only you can minimize your losses and make it unprofitable for these war deck corps to continue their war deck against us. After all, that is why they war deck, is for the ISK, and if they lose ISK by decking us then they will discontinue the war deck.

Traveling:

  1. Just like number 4 under "When Mining" Always Monitor Local Chat when traveling. DO NOT USE AUTOPILOT! It's not only slow but it gives the enemy more time to target and warp jam your ship. If you come across an enemy in the local chat then warp to the nearest station. If they stay in same system as you then just wait'em out in the station.

  2. Report all enemy sighting in Raid Call/Team Speak and chat. This can save your corp mates lives as well.

So Please! Let’s end and war deck’s fast by making sure we operate defensively. Your lack of judgment inside this corp also affects your other corp mates.
